The Become Charity
Become is a charity for children in care and young care leavers. Their Support and Engagement Team offer advice on lots of different subjects including how the care system works and what happens when you leave care. The Big Initiative
The Big Initiative have an array of training courses accessible to you through FCL. Please ask your Supervising Social Worker for more information on different courses and we can support you to complete them.
Thinkuknow
Thinkuknow is the education programme from NCA-CEOP, a UK organisation which protects children both online and offline.
“It’s not always easy to admit it but we all need help sometimes. If you’ve got a problem or something you’re worried about you’ll find lots of people and places that can help here.
REMEMBER – whatever the problem is, talking about it can be the first step to solving it. If there’s an adult you trust like a parent, carer or a teacher talk to them first about what’s happening.”
Coram Voice
Coram Voice can help you to have an advocate.
“An Advocate is different from any other professional.
They are there to help and support you and to make sure you are involved in all decisions about your life. Advocates also help you speak out when things go wrong. They make sure you know your rights and help you to get the support you need from Children’s Services.”
